Civil litigation of divorce, visitation/custody cases requiring actual, real in Court appearances have made up around 75% of my total workload over the last 12 years. It's
significant to note that this is not just some sort of "mediation" or counseling or even simply legal "negotiation" as such. I've handled at least
350-400 litigation cases in this area.
(For the far simpler "agreed divorce" papers: as a software developer I wrote a web application that dramatically reduces the time, energy and
effort expended by both the client and myself. And the 200 or so clients who've used the system for my uncontested divorces pay $390
as a flat fee where other lawyers can't afford to do it for less than $700 at a bare minimum.)
The other 25% of my law has focussed on these other areas: software and internet related laws, representing clients successfully in legal malpractice
lawsuits against useless and or unethical bad-apple attorneys, bankruptcy and software for bankrupcy/divorce laws as a webservice,
as well as and certain, specific types of privacy laws/policies.
Hobbies: Chinese language (美国西雅图律师 - 讲普通话 - 软件和互联网的法律，民事诉讼：离婚，房地产和其他民事纠纷), programming languages: asp.net, vb.net, and programs
which invoke tcp/ip to communicate across networks, ms-dos, overseas travel, BASIC on my TI-99, soccer, Portuguese.
